5 Ways To Get To Sleep Fast

These following 5 tips are essential to get to sleep fast. You have probably heard of them before but it is important to optimize your sleeping habits and get into good routines.

1. Stop Visiting The Toilet

Stop drinking all liquids two to three hours before bed (Judge for yourself) to avoid late night or early morning visits to the toilet to unload your tank. Your bladder can be a major threat to healthy sleep patterns so don’t give it any ammo before bed (liquid).

2. Be Slim Before Bed

Try not to eat anything two hours before bed and if you must eat have a small low protein, high carbohydrate snack but nothing heavy. Your body and your digestive system needs to rest at night so you wake up feeling full of energy.

3. Got Routine?

If your not going to bed at the same time every night and waking up at the same time every morning then it would be a good idea to get a regular routine going. And yes that means on weekends too! Getting into a good healthy sleep routine is one of the best things you can do to adjust your internal sleep clock.

4. See Black And Then See The Light

When you go to bed it is very important to use black out blinds and to turn off any lights in the room. Total darkness helps your body produce Melotonin which is like a natural sedative. If there is any light in the room, even a small amount then Melotonin production is drastically reduced.

First thing in the morning go outside and soak up some sun. Sunlight stops Melotonin in your body and will wake you up. Also try and expose yourself as much as possible to the outdoors so that your body clock gets adjusted.

5. Ditch That Darn Alarm Clock!

Get rid of that horrible alarm clock. You will never way up feeling really good to that nasty beeping noise. Replace it with a sunrise alarm clock is just such a smart thing to do and your body will thank you for it. Rage against the beep…see the light instead!
